Fourth of July Robberies and Indecent Exposure: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Ellicott City: Attempted Break-In

On July 2, between 6:45 p.m. and 10:20 p.m., an unknown number of suspects attempted to enter a residence on the 10200 block of Burlington Lane by removing a window screen and tampering with a window, but failed to gain entry.

On July 4, just after 10 p.m., an unknown number of suspects attempted to enter a residence on the 3900 block of Skye Court by breaking a rear glass door, but failed to gain entry.

On July 1, just before midnight, a suspect exposed himself after being denied entry into a location on the 6700 block of Freetown Road.

Columbia: Robbery

On July 1, just after 11 p.m., an unknown suspect jumped a victim near the intersection of Twin Rivers Road and Warfield Parkway, pushed her and stole her purse. The suspect entered the passenger side of a vehicle and fled.

On July 4, just after 11 p.m., two unknown suspects approached two victims on a path near the 6000 block of Stevens Forest Road, displayed a knife and demanded valuables. The suspects took items and fled toward Oakland Mills Middle School.

On July 4, around 9:30 p.m., four unknown suspects and one known suspect approached a victim on the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, assaulted him and stole a several items.

On July 2, around 12:30 p.m., an unknown number of suspects entered an unsecured garage on the 10200 block of Rutland Round Road and stole a bicycle.

Between June 11 and July 4, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 5700 block of Stevens Forest Road and stole money, clothing and jewelry.

Clarksville: Break-In

On July 4, just after 3 p.m., an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 6000 block of Helmsman Way through an unsecured window and stole a laptop.

Dayton: Commercial Break-In

On July 2, at 4:13 p.m., an unknown number of suspects stole copper wiring from an air conditioning unit and gained entry to a shed on the 5700 block of Ten Oaks Road.

North Laurel: Break-In

Between June 30 and July 1, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 9000 block of Thamesmeade Road and stole jewelry.

North Laurel: Break-In

On July 4, at 2 p.m., a victim reported a washing machine was moved in a residence on the 9100 block of Bourbon Street. The victim did not report anything being stolen.
