Suspects Smash Business Windows in Four Break-ins in Five Hours

Police are investigating a series of commercial break-ins on Baltimore National Pike.

Howard County Police are investigating four commercial break-ins on Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City. All took place Tuesday, May 22: 

  • At about 1:21 a.m., one or more suspects broke the front glass to get into the restaurant at 9275 Baltimore National Pike and steal money.
  • At about 1:25 a.m., one or more suspects broke the front door and entered at 9275 Baltimore National Pike, stealing the cash register and money.
  • At about 5:26 a.m., one or more suspects used a rock to smash the front door of the at 8300 Baltimore National Pike and stole cigarettes.
  • At about 5:40 a.m., one or more suspects used a rock to break into at 9191 Baltimore National Pike and stole money from the cash register.

Police have identified a suspect in the Tutti Fruitti break-in: a white man in his 20s to mid-30s, about 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds. According to police, he had short, dark hair and was wearing dark-colored pants, black shoes, gray gloves and a black jacket.
