Ellicott City Teen Pleads Guilty to Helping ‘Jihad Jane’

He faces up to 15 years in prison on the terrorism charges.

The Ellicott City teen charged with conspiring with a woman known as “Jihad Jane” to provide material support to terrorists pleaded guilty in a Philadelphia federal court Friday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Mohammad Hassan Khalid, a Pakistani immigrant from Ellicott City, was 18 when he arrested July 6 of 2011 for his involvement with Colleen R. LaRose, or “Jihad Jane”.

According to the Wall Street Journal, officials have said Khalid is the youngest person to face federal charges of conspiring to provide material support to a terror group.

The 2011 Mount Hebron High School graduate faces up to 15 years in prison and deportation for his work with LaRose,  who has also pleaded guilty to terrorism charges, according to the Sun.
