Ellicott City Man Found Shot in Annapolis

After hearing gunshots, officers find a 28-year-old man suffering from two wounds.

Annapolis police said an Ellicott City man was shot twice on Madison Street early Sunday morning.

According to a release, officers were responding to another call on Medgar Evers Street at about 12:20 a.m. when they heard several gunshots nearby.

Police responded to the 1100 block of Madison St. Annapolis and found a crime scene, but officers reported that no one was there.

A short time later, a victim suffering from gunshot wounds was located in a vehicle on Hilltop Lane near Boxwood Road, police said in the release.

Police said Abe Anthony Henderson, 28, of Ellicott City, suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh and a graze wound to his right shoulder.

Henderson was transported to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to the release. He was treated for his wounds and released.

Annapolis police are investigating the shooting.
