Ellicott City Man Arrested in Ocean City
The suspect allegedly tried to escape from police after they found a gun nearby.
An Ellicott City Man faces charges of having an illegal handgun after trying to flee from Ocean City Police, reports The Daily Times.
Police identified the man as a “suspicious subject” in an Ocean Beach parking lot, according to the Times, and when they searched his SUV, they found cash hidden in the vehicle’s front wheel.
Police also said they found a handgun on the ground near where the suspect was standing.

According to the Times, when officers tried to detain the suspect, he ran from police; he was later found and taken into custody. Police said they found more than $7,000 in the suspect’s car and a gun holster.
