Police are looking for a suspect after a Wednesday break-in in Ellicott City.

According to a police report, the suspect broke open a back door at a house on the 7900 block of James Ave. between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and stole an MP3 player.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, tall, thin and in his 30s. He has short, light-colored hair and was wearing a light-colored t-shirt and khaki pants.

On Tuesday between 10:20 a.m. and 1 p.m., an unknown number of people removed the screen from an unlocked window on the 3700 block of Old Columbia Pike. Police say the suspect or suspects stole a laptop, jewelry and a jewelry box.

And on Sunday between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., police say a suspect entered a house on the 4900 block of Lee Farm Court through a rear window on the second floor. Police said the suspect stole a television, cash, baseball cards and a laptop computer.
