Domino's Pizza Robbed, Elementary School Broken Into: Howard County Crime Reports

Commercial robbery

A Domino’s Pizza, located in the 6000 block of Meadowridge Center Drive, was robbed Sept. 8 at 1:28 a.m. An employee was counting out the business deposit when an unknown male wearing a face mask pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The employee surrendered the money to the suspect, who then fled out the rear door. SUSPECT: Black male, 5-foot-8, 20-25 years old, thin build, face mask, white gloves, black zip-up hoodie, and dark pants. Armed with a handgun and brass knuckles.

Commercial burglary

Twenty-two rolls of cable were stolen from a construction site in the 7500 block of Hearthside Way between Sept. 5 and Sept. 6. Fences at the site and locks on the storage trailers were cut.

Vehicle theft

A white 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen Sept. 9 at 1:32 a.m. in the 7100 block of Maiden Point Place.

Clarksville

Burglary at school

Someone broke into Clarksville Elementary School, located at 12041 Clarksville Pike, and stole approximately 38 feet of copper pipe from the boiler room overnight on Aug. 28. There were no signs of forced entry.

During the same time period, someone also broke into a construction trailer on the school property by prying open the trailer’s door. Nothing appears to have been taken though.

Residential break-in

Someone broke a side basement window in the 7000 block of Woodscape Drive overnight on Sept. 5. The person evidently slept in a bed in one of the rooms, and the broken windows were discovered by the pool cleaning company the next morning.

Residential burglary

Two bicycles were taken from an unsecured garage in the 12200 block of Summer Sky Patch overnight on Sept. 6. The bicycles were later recovered near Great Star Drive.

Columbia

Residential burglary

Someone stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle parked in a garage located in the 9000 block of Phillip Dorsey Way overnight Sept. 5. The garage was open, and the burglar also removed a bicycle from the wall, but didn’t take it because of a flat tire.

Vehicle theft

A silver 2008 Nissan Altima was stolen at the Park & Ride on Broken Land Parkway Sept. 7 at 4:20 p.m. Tags are North Carolina ABT1242.

A silver 2006 Hyundai Avera was stolen Sept. 6 just before 7 a.m. in the 5600 block of Columbia Road. Tags are MD 4EVJ52.

Savage

Residential break-in

Someone pried open the front door of an apartment in the 9100 block of Washington Street on Sept. 6 just before midnight, while the homeowner was in his backyard with family and neighbors. Nothing appears to have been taken.

Residential burglary

Two televisions, a video camera and cash were stolen from a home in the 8700 block of Fairhaven Place. The burglar had broken a glass window pane and forced the door.

Dog rescue

After receiving the report of a trapped animal inside an abandoned house, officers came to the home on Bridle Path Lane Sept. 6, but found the house secured and no animal. On Sept. 8, the officers again came to the house for the report of a trapped animal. This time, they rescued the trapped dog. However, attempts to locate the owner of the residence have been unsuccessful. The dog was turned over to animal control, and the investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle theft

A gold Chevrolet Blazer was stolen at the intersection of All Saints Road and Bourbon Street Sept. 6 at 9:49 a.m.
