Missing Woman Last Seen in Catonsville Returns Home: Police

The woman went missing Friday afternoon, police said.

A 68-year-old woman who went missing Friday afternoon in Catonsville returned home, the Baltimore County Police Department reported Saturday morning.

Joan Carol Daugherty was last seen at 3:30 p.m. on Friday in the 699 block of North Bend Road in Catonsville, according to police, who said she was a critical missing person.

"We define a critical missing person as a person who has a medical, emotional, or other condition which causes police to be concerned for that person's safety," Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department said. "In this case, there is a concern for the person's safety so we are labeling her as a critical missing person."

Daugherty is described as 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, with white and blond hair, according to police.

By 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, police said she had returned home.
