Cat Burglary, School Break-in and Refrigerator Thief: Howard County Crime Roundup
The following arrest information was supplied by the Howard County police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Clarksville: Break-In
Sometime over the night of Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, an unknown number of suspects opened a garage of a residence on the 6900 block of Westcott Place and entered a vehicle. Nothing was reported stolen.
Columbia: Break-In

Between Aug. 1 and Aug. 3, an unknown number of suspects broke a window of a residence on the 10300 block of Daystar Court, stealing a television, pots, pans and a refrigerator.

Shortly after 5 a.m. on Aug. 3, two unknown suspects approached victims near the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road while the victims waited for a cab. The suspects displayed guns, assaulted the victims and stole cell phones and cash. One suspect discharged a weapon in another direction and fled.
West Friendship: Vehicle Theft
Between 4 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 1 p.m. the following day, a 1984 Coach motor home with Maryland tags LC00168 was reported stolen from a residence on the 2200 block of Fairgrounds Road.
Jessup: School Break-In
At 8:40 p.m. on Aug. 2, an unknown number of suspects tampered with a window and entered Patuxent Valley Middle School, on the 9100 block of Vollmerhausen Road. Nothing was reported stolen.
Laurel: Break-In
Between 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 6 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered a rear sliding glass door of a residence on the 9700 block of Country Meadows Lane, stealing a video game system, purse, wallet, sunglasses and jewelry. Police listed the incident as a “catburglary.”
