Break-ins in Ellicott City, Columbia, Fulton, Laurel: Howard County Crime Roundup
The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Ellicott City: Break-in attempt
No entry was made during an attempted break-in at a residence on the 9200 block of Marydell Road. The suspect or suspects tried to get inside by breaking two windowpanes. The attempted break-in was reported at 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 2.
Columbia: Burglary

Two televisions were stolen from a rental office at Parkview at Columbia on the 7000 block of Cradlerock Way. There were no signs of forced entry. The burglary was reported at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1.

A suspect or suspects rang a door bell and then stepped inside a house on the 5000 block of Netherstone Court. “The resident was home and went to the door, but the suspect(s) had already fled,” police said. The break-in was reported at 5:39 a.m. on Thursday, June 2.
Columbia: Break-in attempt
No entry was made during an attempted break-in at a residence on the 10800 block of Green Mountain Circle. The suspect or suspects tried to get inside by prying a door. The attempted break-in was reported at 10:02 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1.
Laurel: Burglary
Electric wire, wood and shingle were stolen over the span of several months from a construction site at the intersection of Shaded Day and Skylark Boulevard. The burglary was reported at 12:33 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1.
Fulton: Break-in
Nothing was reported stolen following a break-in at a shed on the 11900 block of Queen Street. The suspect or suspects got inside after prying open a door. The break-in was reported at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1.
Columbia, Ellicott City: Vehicle thefts
- Ellicott City: A green 1997 Chevrolet Lumina with Maryland license plate 6FRY54 was stolen from the 8400 block of Linwood Drive. It was reported stolen at 10:52 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1.
- Columbia: A red and white Honda dirt bike was stolen from the 6300 block of Stevens Forest Road. It was reported stolen at 5:08 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1.
