Break-ins and Vehicle Thefts: Howard County Crime Roundup
The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Elkridge: Vehicle Theft
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 26, a 1995 Chevy Astrovan was stolen from a residence on the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard.
Woodbine: Commercial Break-In
Between Sept. 17 and Sept. 26, an unknown number of suspects entered the secured yard of an AT&T tower on the 700 block of Lisbon Center Drive and stole copper.
Columbia: Break-In
Between 6:50 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 26, an unknown number of suspects pried open the front door of a residence on the 7000 block of Gentle Shade Drive and stole a computer.
Columbia: Break-In
Between 6:50 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 26, an unknown number of suspects pried open the front door of a residence on the 7000 block of Gentle Shade Drive, stealing a computer, digital camera and jewelry box. Police said this may be related to the incident listed above.
Columbia: Vehicle Theft Attempt
Shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 23, a vehicle theft was reported on the 9200 block of Pigeonwing Place. Officers arrested a Columbia man and charged him with rogue and vagabond, as well as presence in another person's vehicle with the intent to commit theft of the vehicle or property inside.
Jessup: Vehicle Theft
Between 12 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 9:03 p.m. the following day, a freightliner with a white truck cab was stolen from the 8200 block of Stayton Drive.
