Break-in at Mt. Hebron High: Howard County Crime Roundup

Ellicott City: Break-In
Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on July 31, an unknown number if suspects entered Mt. Hebron High School and damaged a vending machine.

Between 7:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. on July 31, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 3200 block of Wheaton Way and stole a laptop.

Between 6 p.m. on July 30 and 10:40 a.m. the following morning, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 6600 block of Washington Boulevard and stole cash.
Elkridge: Vehicle Theft
Shortly after 6 a.m. on August 1, a green 2007 Honda Pilot with Maryland tags SD1275 was reported stolen from a residence on the 6000 block of Rock Glen Drive.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on July 29, an attempted vehicle theft was reported at a residence on the 6900 block of Thomas Stone.
Clarksville: Break-In
Between 7 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. on July 30, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear glass door of a residence on the 6400 block of Galway Drive and stole two safes containing cash.
Columbia: Break-In
Between July 28 and July 30, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 10700 block of Judy Lane and held a party. The suspects defaced property inside the residence and littered the outside.

Between 5:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. on July 29, an unknown number of suspects broke glass next to a door and entered a residence on the 5000 block of Lake Circle West. Nothing was reported stolen.

Between July 23 and July 30, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear window of a residence on the 6400 block of Waveland Way, stealing two televisions, a computer, gaming systems and video games.

At 5:45 on July 31, an unknown suspect entered a residence on the 6000 block of Jerry’s Drive and stole a purse. The victim woke up to an alarm and saw the suspect fleeing the residence.
Columbia: Commercial Break-In
Shortly after 4 a.m., an unknown number of suspects broke the front window and entered Asian Palace, on the 10800 block of Hickory Ridge Road, stealing cash from the registers.
Laurel: Break-In
Between 6:40 a.m. and 3:31 p.m. on July 30, an unknown number of suspects broke a window of a residence on the 8800 block of Howard Hills. Nothing was reported stolen.
Laurel: Robbery
Around 4:20 p.m. on July 31, a known suspect confronted a victim near the 9900 block of Washington Boulevard about allegedly stolen money, displayed a pellet gun and demanded cash. Two victims refused and the suspect fled on foot. Officers later arrested a17 year-old suspect and charged him as an adult with attempted armed robbery, attempted robbery, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m. on July 30, a 2000 Dodge van with Maryland tags 33724M0 was reported stolen from a residence on the 9000 block of Bryant Avenue.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. on July 30, a green 2003 Dodge Caravan with Maryland tags 78513HD was reported stolen from a residence on the 9900 block of Hughes Avenue.
Laurel: Vehicle Theft Attempt
On July 30, a vehicle theft attempt was reported at a residence on the 9400 block of Mayflower Court.
Jessup: Commercial Break-In
Between 6 p.m. on July 29 and 7 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered the property of CPE Inc., on the 8100 block of Dorsey Run Road, stealing power tools from trailers.
Cooksville: Vehicle Theft Attempt
Shortly before 8 p.m. on July 30, a vehicle theft attempt was reported on the 2400 block of Route 97.
Woodstock: Break-In
Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 29, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 1500 block of Grooms Lane and stole a laptop.
Mt. Airy: Break-In
At 4 p.m. on July 29, an unknown number of suspects forced open an upper level roof of a residence on the 1200 block of Long Corner Road and stole a guitar amp. Officers arrested a man and charged him with first- third- and fourth-degree burglary and theft. Officers also arrested an undisclosed juvenile.
