Antiques, Chainsaw, Videogames, Cars Stolen: Crime Roundup

Ellicott City:

A resident returned home to the 4000 block of Spring Meadow Drive on Oct. 18 to find that sometime between 6:30 and 10 p.m. someone had been in the house, according to police. The resident reported a back door was slightly open, though there were no signs of force. According to police, stolen were a Venetian mask; Venetian mirrors; an Xbox 360; a Nintendo Wii and accessories; an Airsoft gun, a coin collection; antique bowls; stones and a tin bank.

Nothing was reported missing at a house on the 6100 block of Wooded Run Drive, but when residents returned home from a trip, they said they found a back window had been shattered sometime between Oct. 12 and Oct. 15. According to Howard County police, there were pry marks on rear sliding glass doors and on both sides of the window. Several rooms were ransacked, according to police, but nothing has been reported stolen.

Police responded to a house on the 10200 block of Hickory Ridge Road just before 5 p.m. on Oct. 18. When they arrived, a resident said she saw a suspect leaving her son’s bedroom. Police found a subject who matched the description given by the victim. The suspect, a juvenile, said he was at the residence, opened the window and called out to the son but, according to police, he said he did not enter the house.

Elkridge:

On Oct. 16, sometime between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., police say suspects pried open a shed on the 6000 block of Hanover Road and stole a Honda motor scooter.

A resident just reported that on Oct. 12 the resident’s son came by to check on the home on the 7900 block of Butterfield Road and he found a back window broken. Police say suspects got into the home and ransacked it, leaving through the front door. The only thing reported missing from the home was the key to a deadbolt lock.

Jessup:

Police say suspects kicked in a basement door at a home on the 7900 block of Savage Guilford Road on Oct. 18 and stole copper pipes from the basement.

On Oct. 17 a resident returned to her home on the 8900 block of Rosewood Way to find that a back sliding door had been shattered. According to police, suspects had ransacked the living room and bedroom and stole jewelry, televisions a DVD player, a camera and a chain saw.

Hanover:

Sometime between Oct. 14 and Oct. 16 police say suspects broke into a shed on a property on the 6400 block of Julie Ann Drive. Stolen from the shed was a 2007 Yamaha YZ250F dirt bike, according to police, and a 2002 Honda xR100 dirt bike was stolen from a patio under the deck. Police say a third dirt bike was moved, but not stolen.

Columbia: 

Oct. 14: A motor scooter was stolen from the 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road.

Oct. 15: A gray Ford van with the license plate MD 432M658 was stolen from the 9500 block of Berger Road.

Oct 17: A gold 2003 Mercedes Benz C300 with the license plate MD MLM986 was stolen from the 8800 block of Tamebird Court.

Clarksville:

Oct. 5 – Oct. 9: A black 2007 Audi A8 was stolen from Antwerpen Toyota on the 12400 block of Auto Drive.

Laurel:

Oct. 10: A blue 2004 Cadillac DeVille with the license plate MD1AG0032 was stolen from the 9100 block of Blues Alley.

Oct. 15: a 2008 Continental trailer with the license plate MD00821TL was stolen from the 9300 bock of Davis Ave.

Jessup: 

Oct. 16: A 2004 Toyota Highlander was stolen from the 7100 block of Dorsey Run Road.
