Support HB 1462 - A Maryland Task Force for Later School Start Times

Marylanders across the state can take action action to start the conversation on healthy, safe, equitable public school school start times.

We are thrilled to announce that Start School Later, Inc. has helped get a bill introduced, HB 1462, Task Force to Study a Later Starting Time for Maryland Public Schools in the Maryland House of Representatives.

Maryland legislators need to hear from as many constituents as possible to ensure that this bill passes in the house and moves forward.  You can take action with the click of a button:

You also have the option to personalize your message just by editing the form letter.  Feel free to tell a brief story about WHY this is so important.  Maybe your child struggles with first period, your grandson always looks tired when you see him, or you grew up exhausted because of early start times, and you want something better for your children.

Whatever the message, it means even more if it's in YOUR voice.

We have a short window and the Maryland legislative session closes in April.  The more constituents our delegates hear from, the better.  Thank you for your support of later, healthier school hours.
