Arts Council Announces Paint It! Ellicott City 2013 Award Winners
The Arts Council is pleased to announce the Paint It! Ellicott City 2013 award winners. The awards were presented to the artists July 15 during the opening reception for the Paint It! Ellicott City juried artist exhibit.
Juror Mark Karnes, professor of painting at MICA, presented Juror's Choice awards to:

The new Gino Award, a $2,000 purchase award in memory of Ellicott City artist Gino Manelli, went to:

The Blossoms of Hope award for Best Depiction of Nature went to Ann Crostic, Rooms With a View.
Another new award, for Best Urban Scene, was presented by Steve Stannard, Julie Hunko, and Salient Group to:

Janice Kirsh, The Crossing
The HCAC Director's Choice Award went to Maria Marino, Ole E.C.
The Howard County Tourism Director's Choice Award went to Leah Lewman, The Fire House.
