A Benefit Concert with Bill Staines: Supporting the Elderly Served by Michael's House

Bill Staines has twenty-six recordings to his credit and has written over three hundred songs, many of which have been recorded by the likes of Peter, Paul, and Mary, Makem and Clancy, Nanci Griffith, Glen Yarborough, and Jerry Jeff Walker. His music is sung at campfires and folk music gatherings, in homes and churches, all around the country. Songs like “All God’s Critters,”  “The Roseville Fair,”  “Child of Mine,” and “River,” have become folk music classics.

Michael's House, www.michaelshouse.org , based in Burtonsville, is a 501(c) (3) charity serving the destitute elderly in the Third World who have no one. We support projects in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Thailand, Rwanda, and Uganda (EIN: 20-4531446).

There will be music, refreshments, silent auctions, and a Giving Tree.  Proceeds will help the isolated elderly by providing necessities, such as: a wholesome meal, hygiene facilities, medical care, and a day shelter off of the dangerous city streets.
