Howard County Blue Ocean Competition
The Howard County Blue Ocean Competition is a new entrepreneurial competition for Howard County high school students being organized by Centennial High School's chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). The competition is scheduled for Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at Centennial High School. This competition is an opportunity to engage, educate, and excite high school students about the world of business and entrepreneurship.
Teams of 1-3 students will generate an idea for an innovative product or service and present their idea to a panel of community business leaders, entrepreneurs, and educators who will act as judges. Presentations will be judged on innovation and creativity, viability of the idea, depth of product/service knowledge, and overall presentation quality. The top 3 teams will receive cash awards, and there will be an awards ceremony for participants and parents.
