Weekend Snow Possible in Howard County

Here's a look at the weekend forecast, courtesy of the National Weather Service.

Despite Friday morning’s sunny skies and mild temperatures, the National Weather Service is forecasting hazardous weather beginning Friday afternoon and persisting through the weekend 

Temperatures will reach the mid-50s Friday. Clouds will begin to cover the sky as the day goes on and light rain/snow is expected late Friday afternoon, beginning around 5 p.m. Temperatures will drop to the low 30s at night and rain should turn to snow early Saturday morning.

More snow is expected Saturday, mostly after noon. Otherwise, temperatures will reach the high 30s during the day, dropping to the low 20s at night.

Sunday should be partly sunny and windy, with gusts as fast as 22 mph in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the mid 30s during the day, dropping to the low 20s at night.

Presidents' Day will be sunny, with a high near 40 degrees, but there is a 30 percent chance of freezing rain Monday night, when temperatures drop to the low 30s.
