Week Ahead in Weather: Mild, Mild, Mild

We won't see extra hot temperatures, but we may see something else.

July 2012 was the with 13 days above 95 degrees in Baltimore and 16 such days at Reagan National Airport according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

So far this month too, we’ve seen plenty of days with temperatures in the 90s. Not so this week, according to (NWS), although they’ll get close.

Today will be warm, with temperatures reaching the high 80s and partly sunny skies. Tonight temperatures drop to about 70 with mostly cloudy skies.

There’s a 40 percent chance of rain Tuesday afternoon. Otherwise expect temperatures in the high 80s and partly sunny skies. The chance of rain increases a bit for Tuesday night to 50 percent. Temperatures will drop to the high 60s.

Wednesday also has a slight chance of rain – 20 percent – in the morning. As the day goes on, expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 80s, dropping to the mid 60s over night.

Thursday looks mostly sunny, with temperatures again in the mid 80s, dropping to the mid 60s at night.

The threat of rain returns Friday. NWS is forecasting a 30 percent chance of rain at the end of the week. Otherwise, skies should be sunny and temperatures in the mid 80s.
