Two Lanes Reopen on Route 100 After Tractor Trailer Collision

Traffic is now getting by after an accident closed the eastbound portion of the road for hours this morning.

The State Highway Administration said two lanes have recently reopened on Route 100 eastbound in Howard County after two tractor trailers collided around 5:45 a.m. Thursday morning.

The accident caused the road to be closed as officials from the Maryland State Police and Maryland Department of the Environment worked to clear the scene.

An officer from the Waterloo barracks of the Maryland State Police said no one was seriously injured in the accident in which one tractor trailer overturned and another jackknifed.

Backup was reported on adjoining roads, including Route 108.
