Traffic Alert: Speed Humps Coming

Expect delays throughout September.

Slow down or risk losing your muffler. The Howard County Department of Public Works is installing new traffic humps in Ellicott City.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 20, construction will begin on Furrow Avenue between Mount Hebron Drive and Duff Court, according to a statement released by the county.

Expect temporary lane shifts and closures Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. During that time, expect temporary lane shifts, closures and flaggers directing traffic.
