County offices, courts, the landfill and animal shelters are closed today, and your trash/recycling/yard waste pick-up is going to be a day late this week. Check the holiday pick-up schedule here.

I'm looking for an Ellicott City resident who works at NASA or has been involved in the space program to talk about the final scheduled space shuttle launch. If you're interested, send an email to brandie (at) patch.com.
