Things to Know about Ellicott City Today: July 22

This is the day we've been working up to all week. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high temperature of 102 degrees -- that's before the humidity is factored in. Add humidity and it may feel more like 114 degrees. If you have respiratory or certain other health conditions that are exacerbated by the heat, it's safest to stay in an air conditioned place, if not home, try the or the . Temperatures should drop to about 78 degrees tonight. 

Headed to the beach this weekend? Saving a few cents per gallon on gas can really add up, especially if the air conditioning is cranking.
