Symposium Asks: Would it Kill You to Be More Civil?

National commentators will be talking about civility on the political stage at October's Choose Civility Symposium.

The Howard County Library System is gearing up for another Choose Civility symposium next month, and panelists will be paying particular attention to campaign rhetoric leading up to the presidential election in November.

Korva Coleman, a journalist for National Public Radio, will again be moderating the symposium that will feature author, Newsweek contributing editor and CNN contributor David Frum, The Baltimore Sun editorial editor Andrew Green, and Henry Alford, author of Would It Kill You to Stop Doing That?: A Modern Guide to Manners.

The community is invited to join the discussion at the Miller Branch Library on Oct. 11 from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m.

More information about the Choose Civility campaign is available at ChooseCivility.org.
