Seek an Alternate Route: Ellicott City Today

Head into the day a little more informed.

Not too much sun today, but temperatures should climb close to 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There's a chance of rain this evening, when temperatures drop to about 52 degrees.

A section of Frederick Road and the western end of Main Street will be closed from Rogers Avenue to Ellicott Mills Drive beginning today. Work to repair sidewalk damage caused during Tropical Storm Lee is expected to last through late next month, according to county officials. Traffic will be detoured to Rogers Avenue, Court House Drive and Ellicott Mills Drive.

Representatives from school systems across the State, including Interim State Superintendent Bernard Sadusky are meeting at the Conference Center for "MD Bully Free," the Second Annual Conference on the Prevention of Bullying and Harassment. The conference is from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.
