Rain, Sleet, Snow? Week Ahead in Weather

Here's a look at the week's forecast courtesy of the National Weather Service.

More winter weather is on the way this week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A winter weather advisory is in effect until late Tuesday morning when, according to NWS, we can expect rain and sleet. Temperatures will reach about 50 degrees, however and no accumulation is expected. Rain may continue into early Tuesday night and temperatures will drop to the mid-20s. 

Wednesday should be sunny, but brisk, with temperatures reaching the high-30s and winds gusting as fast as 36 mph. There is also a 30 percent chance of precipitation during the day. Temperatures will drop to the low-20s Wednesday night with winds gusting as fast as 30 mph.

Thursday will be sunny with a high near 40 degrees, dropping to the high-20s at night.

We may see another wintry mix Friday, with a 30 percent chance of rain and sleet. Otherwise expect cloudy skies with temperatures reaching the high-30s during the day, dropping to the low-30s at night. There is also a 40 percent chance of rain, snow and freezing rain at night.
