Not-Quite-Record-Setting Warmth: Week Ahead in Weather

The weekend’s spring-like warm weather will persist through part of this week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), but it’s not here to stay.

Expect fog today until mid-morning, then partly sunny skies with a high temperature near 65 degrees. That’s just five degrees shy of the record high temperature for the day: 70 degrees in 1950 according to NWS. Tonight, temperatures will drop to around 50 degrees. 

Tuesday will be partly sunny, with temperatures again reaching the mid-60s. This time, however, the high temperature won’t come close to the record set on this day - in 1998 - of 76 degrees. Temperatures should drop to about 50 degrees again Tuesday night, and there’s a chance of rain after 1 a.m.

The chance of rain continues into Wednesday until about 10 a.m. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature in the low-50s, dropping to about 33 degrees at night.

The sun is forecast to return Thursday, when temperatures reach the mid-40s, dropping to the low 30s at night. 

Friday should be partly sunny with a high temperature near 50 degrees, dropping to around 40 degrees at night. There’s also a 30 percent chance of rain Friday night.
