Masked Duo Rob Ellicott City McDonalds: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Ellicott City: Commercial Robbery

At 11 p.m. on August 5, two unknown suspects wearing masks walked up to the drive-through window of the McDonalds on the 4300 block of Montgomery Road, pushed the clerk and grabbed cash from an opened drawer. The suspects fled toward the KFC.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on August 6, two known suspects approached a victim in a parking lot on the 3300 block of North Chatham Road, assaulted the victim and stole his wallet.

At 9:15 p.m. on August 6, four unknown suspects approached two victims near the footbridge from Lake Kittamaqundi to Stevens Forest, demanded valuables and fled with cash.

Shortly after 11 a.m. on August 6, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open the front door of a residence on the 5600 block of Columbia Road, but failed to gain entry.

Shortly after noon on August 6, an unknown number of suspects entered a garage of a residence on the 10200 block of Brighton Ridge Way and stole a bicycle.

At 8:35 a.m. on August 7, an unknown number of suspects entered a vehicle at a residence on the 9400 block of Pinecone Row, opened the garage door, stealing three bicycles and discarding two of them in the yard.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on August 7, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear sliding glass door and entered a residence on the 5100 block of Durham Road East, stealing a jar of coins.

Between July 22 and August 7, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open a garage door of a residence on the 9200 block of Log Chain Road, but failed to gain entry.

Shortly before 3 p.m. on August 7, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open a garage door of a residence on the 9200 block of Grape Wine Court, but failed to gain entry.

Between 11:30 p.m. on August 6 and 12:12 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 5800 block of Humblebee Road. Nothing was reported stolen.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on August 6, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 4900 block of Columbia Road and stole a television.

Just before 2 p.m. on August 5, a red 2004 Hinda CRX 250 dirt bike was reported stolen from a residence on the 9500 block of Quarry Bridge Court.

Just before 11 p.m. on August 5, a 1973 Ford pick-up truck was reported stolen from the area of Broken Land Parkway and Route 32.

Laurel: Break-In Attempt

Shortly before 2 p.m. on August 5, an unknown number of suspects attempted to enter a residence on the 9500 block of Chaton Road by kicking in a door, but failed to gain entry.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. on August 7, an unknown number of suspects broke a window and entered a residence on the 7900 block of Helmart Drive. No further information is available.

Shortly after 12 a.m. on August 7, a known suspect forced entry into a residence on the 5800 block of Wyndham Circle and forced the resident out and locked the door. Officers found the suspect asleep inside the residence and charged him with first- and second-degree assault.

At 10:20 a.m. on August 6, two known suspects entered a residence on the 8200 block of Washington Boulevard to confront the victim about an “ongoing dispute” and assaulted the victim.  Officers arrested both suspects and charged one with first- and fourth-degree burglary, second-degree assault and disorderly conduct, and charged the second with first- and fourth-degree burglary and second-degree assault.

Jessup: Commercial Break-In

Shortly before 4:30 a.m. on August 7, an unknown number of suspects broke a glass door of El Patio Restaurant, on the 7900 block of Washington Boulevard, and stole cigarettes.
