Ellicott City Teen Terrorist Requests Move to Juvenile Jail

Mohammed Hassan Khalid is currently in a federal detention center in Philadelphia.

An attorney for an 18-year-old Ellicott City teenager who pleaded guilty to terrorism charges says his client should be moved to a juvenile facility, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

On Monday, Khalid’s attorney argued that his client, who is the youngest to be charged in a U. S. terrorism plot, should be moved to a secure juvenile treatment center, the Inquirer reported.

Khalid is a 2011 graduate He is currently being held at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, according to court records. 

His attorney said that Khalid needed psychiatric help, according to the Inquirer.
