Head into the day a little more informed.

The long holiday weekend is over. So is the holiday weather. We'll definitely see rain today, according to the National Weather Service. Mostly after 10 a.m. Temperatures should reach about 47 degrees. Tonight, temperatures drop to 34 degrees and showers may continue until about 11 p.m.

Friends of Patapsco Valley & Heritage Greenway, Inc. are inviting volunteers donors or anyone who has supported their work to a holiday party tonight at the new Howard County Tourism Office, 8267 Main Street in Ellicott City, from 5 - 7 p.m.

The Lubavitch Center of Howard County is hosting a Grand Menorah Lighting ceremony and celebration tonight in Centennial Park from 4 - 7 p.m.
