More than 2,500 motorcycles took to the roads on Friday in remembrance of the men and women who lost their lives in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The group rode from Somerset, PA to Arlington, VA, receiving salutes and support from local police and fire and rescue crews, including Howard County Fire and Rescue and the Howard County Police Department.

On Saturday morning, the riders passed through Howard County, where they were met by salutes and cheers as they drove under the MD Route 32 overpass on Interstate 295.
