Representatives will donate the books at a May 9 Board of Education meeting at 4 p.m.

Some of the magic of Ellicott City’s history and restoration is being preserved in Howard County schools.

Representatives of Historic Ellicott City, Inc., are donating 12 books that are hand-bound collections of Historic Ellicott City newsletters to each of Howard County public high schools.

The newsletters date from 1974 through 1988, according to a school press release.
