Goodbye For Now, Sunshine

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain, high winds and possibly hail.

After days of blue skies and intense sunshine (with the occasional brief shower), a thunderstorm is on the way, according to the National Weather Service.

Despite the seemingly calm skies, NWS has also issued a hazardous weather outlook for Tuesday night, cautioning that storms may be severe enough to bring high-speed winds and hail.

Heavy downpours may also lead to localized flooding, according to NWS, so drive safely and pull over if conditions make it difficult to see.

The thunderstorm watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

A cold front is expected to roll into the area Wednesday, bringing temperatures down to the mid-80s.
