Ellicott City Today: September 2

Head into the day a little more informed.

There's a slight chance of rain today, but otherwise expect partly sunny skies and temperatures approaching 82 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will drop to about 65 degrees overnight with mostly cloudy skies. 

It's , so celebrate with local Main Street merchants, many of whom keep their doors open until 9 p.m. There will be live music at the top and bottom of Main Street, and sidewalk sales into the night.

There are still ready to eat meals and water available for residents without electricity. Supplies will be at the Howard County Food Bank, 8920 Route 108, Suite A in Columbia, from 1 to 4 p.m. and following locations from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.:

Watch out for traffic in the Baltimore City area. Due to the Baltimore —taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday—downtown roads will be congested from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
