More rain today with a high temperature or about 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Rain may continue tonight, when temperatures are set to drop to a near-freezing 34 degrees. Bring your plants inside! 

The State Highway Authority will be lending reflective safety vests to parents for free today, tomorrow and Monday, to help keep everyone safe on Halloween. Stop by Dayton Shop, 4401 MD Route 32 in Dayton to get yours or check the SHA website for a list of other facilities where you can pick one up. Vests will be handed out on a first come, first served basis and must be returned by Nov. 4.

The Howard County Republican Presidential Caucus is coming to Ellicott City. , this will be a chance for people to learn more about the host of Republican presidential candidates. The event is at 7 p.m. at the Ellicott City VFW Post, 4225 VFW Lane.

This morning will be the final  of the Howard County Charter Review Commission. Since March, the 15-member commission has been discussing issues such as how many members sit on the County Council and whether that should change. The meeting is at 9 a.m. in the .
