Ellicott City Today: October 14

Head into the day a little more informed.

More rain today, but it looks like things should clear up in time for the weekend. The National Weather Service is forecasting high temperatures near 70 degrees today with showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Rain early tonight, then cloudy skies with a low temperature near 47 degrees. As of now, there's no rain in the forecast for this weekend; just breezy, partly sunny skies with a high of about 68 both Saturday and Sunday.

Filling up on gas for the weekend? The cheapest price right now is at the at 10214 Baltimore National Pike; the at 9395 Baltimore National Pike; or at 9109 Baltimore National Pike. At all three stations, gas is running $3.369 for a gallon of regular.

Have lots of sensitive documents sitting around? The Bureau of Environmental Services is hosting its annual shredding event tomorrow at the Meadowbrook Park & Ride, off Route 100 next to Meadowbrook Park.
