Temperatures are expected to hit 92 degrees today and the National Weather Service has forecast a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures should drop to about 71 degrees tonight. 

The Board of Appeals is meeting this evening to hear an appeal from St. John Properties, Inc. regarding a gasoline service station and convenience store at 15850 Old Frederick Road. The Board meets at 6 p.m. at the George Howard Building.
