Temperatures should reach 93 degrees today with clear sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in the late afternoon. Temperatures should drop to the low 70s tonight.
It's National Night Out Against Crime, a nationwide event aimed at crime prevention. There will be a block party on Main Street from 7 to 10 p.m., a block party on Plum Tree Drive from 6 to 9 p.m. and a 1. 5-mile fun run on Colonial Drive at 7 p.m. All events are co-sponsored by the Howard County Police Department.
