Ellicott City Today: August 18

Head into the day a little more informed.

It was nice while it lasted. According to the National Weather Service, there's a decent (40 percent) chance we'll see some rain late this morning. Temperatures should peak at about 85 degrees. There's 50 percent chance of rain tonight when temperatures drop to about 67 degrees.

The Howard County Board of Education is holding its public meeting today, one session at 4 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. On the agenda will be a worksession on the FY2013 capital budget and the FY 2014 - 2018 capital improvement program. Both meetings will open with a public forum. If you'd like to speak, bring 15 copies of your written testimony and contact the executive assistant to the board at 410-313-7194.
