Drive Safely With Help From Your Neighbors: Ellicott City Today

Head into the day a little more informed.

Now that December is almost here, Fall has arrived. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high temperature near 61 degrees with rain most of the day and into the night, when temperatures drop to about 40 degrees.

There were eight fatal car crashes over the Thanksgiving weekend and hundreds of collisions. Are there roads that you find particularly dangerous? If so,  and let us know where you think the problems are. 

And in an effort to get impaired drivers off the streets, Howard County Police will be holding a sobriety checkpoint somewhere in the county this week. According to the State Highway Administration an average of five people are killed between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day in an impaired-driving crash.
