Another Storm on the Way? Maybe: Week Ahead in Weather

The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies, cold weather and maybe even snow.

Sun has been in short supply over the past week, but we may see a bit today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).  Unfortunately, according to the NWS forecast discussion, “Despite plenty of sunshine … max temps will remain below normal.”

Skies are expected to clear as the day goes on today, but temperatures won’t rise much, hitting just 49 degrees and dropping to about 30 over night.

Tuesday we’ll see clear, sunny skies with highs in the mid-40s. Tuesday night, temperatures should drop to the mid-30s.

Back to cloudy skies Wednesday, when rain is likely during the day and at night and temperatures range from the mid-30s to the mid-40s.

According to the hazardous weather outlook, a coastal storm could impact the area beginning Wednesday, but “There remains uncertainty with regard to the exact track of this system.”

If the storm does impact the area, however, “The potential exists for accumulating snowfall along with gusty winds and localized flooding due to heavy rainfall.”

There’s a chance of rain and snow Thursday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of about 47 degrees. Thursday night, temperatures drop to the mid-30s.

The sun should return Friday, and temperatures should rise to the low-50s during the day and drop to the mid-30s at night.
