4 Things to Know about Ellicott City Today

Head into the day a little more informed.

The "" airplane is making its way through Maryland today. The plane, made famous when Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III landed it in the Hudson River, is on its way to North Carolina.  It will be heading south on Interstate 95, though its schedule isn't firm. When it hits the road, though, traffic might be a mess. If you want to see where the plane is, check out this interactive map. It should also help if you're trying to avoid the traffic.

The Foreign-born Information and Referral Network is hosting its annual American Success Awards Dinner tonight at Turf Valley Resort. The event recognizes the contributions of the foreign-born community. Tickets are $75 each.

Temperatures are back on the rise, starting slowly with a high of 88 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service. Highs are expected to peak at 96 degrees this week.
