Going Bald for St. Baldrick's

I'm Danielle Frazier from Marriottsville- and I'm going bald for St. Baldrick's to raise money for research on children's cancer!

My name is Danielle Frazier and I am from Marriottsville. I'm an alumni from Marriotts Ridge High School, class of '11. My grandmother, Rita Phillips of Woodstock, recently passed away from cancer. I am volunteering to shave my head for St. Baldrick's foundation. This foundation provides grants to further fund research on childhood cancers. St. Baldrick's provides a way to not only show solidarity with children undergoing chemo by letting them see that it's okay for adults to not have hair as well, but it provides a tremendous opportunity to raise funds for research.

This is my first year participating and I would like to raise $1,000. I recently transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison from Howard Community College. Our team at UW- Madison is aiming to raise $5,000. With the event coming up soon and less than $1,000 raised we would like to reach out to everyone in our home communities. Through volunteering to shave my head to raise money for this great cause I really hope others in the community feel inspired to participate, donate, or at the very least pass this information on to friends and family.
