Opening a Bookstore in 2014!

Some people think I'm crazy! In the age of amazon and ebooks, I am opening a bookstore--a brick and mortar space--with REAL books. Why? 

Because, in the age of digital, it is important not only to preserve but foster the concept of ‘community.’ I find this to be especially true as a mom. I place great value in being part of an environment where my daughters can absorb local culture, art, nature and learning.

Because I wanted a way to support the local businesses in the the area and contribute to the thriving downtown of Ellicott City and I think GreenRow Books will do that.

Because a bookstore gives people a place to go to discuss, read, discover and learn face-to-face and screen free. It’s my hope that GreenRow Books becomes a refuge, a communal space, where the sense of community thrives!

I look forward to opening the doors to GreenRow Books on Main Street this fall. I look forward to sharing books, classes, conversations, authors and more with the people of Howard County and beyond.  I look forward to partnering with local business, writers, schools and community leaders to nourish readers and promote "Read Local!" And I look forward to meeting you!
