Ellicott City resident appointed to NFTE Baltimore board

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), Baltimore, has appointed Ellicott City resident Dean D. DiMattia, CPA, to its board of directors for a three-year term.

DiMattia recently obtained a Certified Exit Planning Advisor accreditation and is launching a new business called The CFO Advisory which will provide a variety of services to small business owners. He’s CEO and a member of the board of directors of Xenotran Corporation, a provider of contract engineering services in the government aerospace defense sector. Prior to Xenotran, he served in various roles including executive vice president, president, CEO and chairman of the board of directors for Frederick Engineering, Inc. a global telecom test product company he acquired in 1995.

DiMattia holds an MBA from Loyola College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Towson State University. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant.

“Dean DiMattia brings a wealth of financial, operations and management experience to the board,”  said Andy Hubner, executive director of NFTE Baltimore. “His expertise will help us as we guide NFTE students through our entrepreneurship education program.”

NFTE is an international nonprofit based in New York that provides entrepreneurship programs to inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, recognize business opportunities and plan for successful futures.
