Yoga on Main Street, a Neighborhood Affair

A new studio is bringing yoga to the neighborhood.

Hilary Brich wanted to bring yoga to Main Street.

And so she did.

Just one month after Birch decided that the space upstairs from her retail shop at 8229 Main Street – with its high ceilings, plentiful windows and wood floors – would make a great yoga studio, she had a grand opening.

People lined up the stairwell to sit in on one of several mini-yoga sessions offered by GoGo Guru’s instructors.

“I feel very blessed,” Brich said Thursday afternoon.

Yoga classes are offered mornings, afternoons and evenings and Randy Neely, co-owner of The New General Store, just down the street at 8249 Main Street, leads guided meditations two days a week.

It’s definitely a Historic District affair.

“Our primary clientele is right here in the neighborhood,” Brich said.

Classes are, of course, open to everyone. Check out class schedules and register online.
