Yoga is Coming to Main Street

A new yoga studio will be opening in February.

Main Street is about to get a bit more peaceful.

which opened as a yoga clothing and accessory store in November, is expanding, adding a yoga studio above the store, offering classes throughout the day where residents can stretch their minds and bodies.

Friends started asking owner Hilary Brich “How can I start doing yoga here in the neighborhood?” and Brich started thinking. In an interview with Patch in December, Brich, an Ellicott City resident, said she was interested in opening up a studio in addition to her clothing store.

There will be a Q&A session after each abbreviated yoga class where teachers will answer questions about the practice and attendees can receive discounts on classes, which will begin Feb. 4.

The shop is also hosting a "resolution renewal party" on Jan. 26 to help people "recommit to your New Year's fitness resolutions."
