More Main Street Roadwork this Week

The newly paved road will be getting some stripes this week. Here's how it might affect traffic.

If everything works out as planned, Main Street will be getting new stripes this week.

According to Steve Lafferty, Director of Special Projects in the Howard County Department of Planning and Zoning, a yellow line down the center of Main street will be painted the newly paved road on Wed., Oct. 17.

The road will remain open to traffic, according to an email Lafferty sent to Historic District merchants and residents; the only delays will be drivers behind the paint truck.

This Thursday and Friday the county will paint white parking space lines. Lafferty wrote that this work will require temporary parking restrictions, with one side of Main Street being closed to parking at a time.
