Market Place and Shell Station on Waterloo Road Closes Suddenly
The convenience store was still stocked, but the gas pumps were cordoned off and the glass doors had a sign posted saying "CLOSED."
A gas station and convenience store appears to have closed suddenly on Waterloo Road in Ellicott City.
On Tuesday, the gas pumps at the station located at 5651 Waterloo Road were cordoned off with yellow caution tape and the Market Place convenience store was locked.
Inside, the convenience store was still stocked with items like cigarettes and snack foods. The fountain soda machine was visibly dripping water from what looked like its ice machine.
A call placed to the gas station's listed number was directed to an automated message saying the number was no longer in service.
