Jilly's Closes
The local bar closed on Sunday, but a new restaurant is planning to replace it.
Jilly's closed its doors for good at the Enchanted Forest shopping center on Sunday night.
The picture above was posted on Jilly's Facebook page to commemorate the moment.
On Oct. 11, the owners announced on Jilly's Facebook page that they would be closing, they wrote:
After 21 years of being the best bar in Howard County, we will be closing our doors on Sunday for the last time! Be sure to stop in as we would like to thank each and every one of you for being the greatest patrons around! Rest assured that our space will not go dark, but a very cool new concept will be opening it's doors before long! We wish the folks at The White Oak Tavern all the best, and hope that everyone will check them out.
Fans of the bar responded with sadness on Facebook, but also thanked the owners.
"Geez, so sorry to hear that. Best wishes on the next chapter to all of you!" wrote Jen Levy after Jilly's posted the announcement.
